Join our American Legion Family for an old time family Fourth celebration! We are so excited about bringing back this tradition to our community!

SCHEDULE OF FESTIVITIES

PATRIOTIC PARADE

The route will start with the line up at Wisconsin & Main at the old county courthouse. Proceed on Grand Ave to Franklin St to Pier St to Lake St and end at the Veterans Park.

• 9:30 am Line up

• 10:00 am Step off

CEREMONY

Ceremony will begin 5 minutes after the conclusion of the parade at the Bandshell.

REFRESHMENTS

• Following the parade, at Veterans Park, there will FREE ice cream and soda for the kids!

• Available inside the Legion Hall for purchase from the American Legion Auxiliary: hot dogs, bratwurst, soda, chips, treats, and bakery items.

• Post 82 Bar will be open for the sale of adult beverages.

Bandshell featuring: Windy Hope

• 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

ACTIVITIES

Decorating Contest of your Rig - Win a Prize

(age groups 2 and under; 3-5; 6-8; 9-12, and 12-15). After the parade, bring your rig up in front of the bandshell. There will be prizes for best in show - one for each age group.

Rig categories per age group include:

• Bikes/Trikes

• Strollers/Wagons

• Walkers/Wheelchairs/Mobility Scooters

Arts & Crafts (all ages)

Arts and crafts will be held in the Legion Hall.

• Noon - 5 PM

• Free tattoos and patriotic items from American Legion Flag and Emblem

Patriotic Pet Costume

Begin lining up your pets on the sidewalk in front of the Legion Hall.

• Noon - 12:45 pm - Small animals in carriers

• 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm - Cats in carriers

• 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm - Dogs & other 4-legged pets on leashes

Patriotic Pet Partner Parade

Diane Burkhalter will share the route with you once all are assembled.

• 2:30 pm

• Spectators will vote on their favorite. Voting at Fork & Tap Patio and at the Cavalier Wine Bar.

• PRIZES! For each pet category & best parade partners.

• Voters are eligible for raffle drawing.

• 50/50.

• There will be a photo booth at Eclectic Avenue!

Port Washington State Bank and Port Washington Park & Rec are providing decorating kits, available for pickup mid-June (first come first serve).
