Join the Legion Family for the 104th Department Convention July 19-23, 2023. THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!

The week will kick off Wednesday, July 19th with the Wisconsin American Legion Foundation meeting at the convention center and the Membership Committee Meeting at Bull Falls Harley Davidson.

The American Legion Riders will be arriving at Bull Falls Harley Davidson from their 3-day Back to Basics Tour. There will be a Post-Ride Party at Bull Falls Harley Davidson including live music, food trucks and drinks from 4:00 PM-9:00 PM.

The events will continue on Thursday, July 20th with the Department Standing Committee meetings, the Department Executive Committee meeting and the Convention Leadership briefing.

Friday, July 21st will begin with the District Caucuses. Posts will hear about the resolutions, receive awards and convention highlights. They will also hear from the candidates running for office and receive your annual manuals and post materials. Then on to the General Session for opening ceremonies, dynamic speakers, awards, program presentations and nomination of Department Officers. The afternoon will wrap up with Convention Committees to decide on resolutions. Don’t forget to give blood at the 

Annual Blood Drive from 9 AM-2 PM- REGISTER HERE FOR THE DRIVE. Join the candidates in the evening for hospitality rooms, where you can connect with your fellow Legionnaires and learn more about the future leaders.

Saturday, July 22nd will again begin with District Caucuses and then Legionnaires will vote for the 2023/2024 Leadership. After voting join the Convention Session for more dynamic speakers, awards, program presentations and the announcement of 2023/2024 Leadership. In the afternoon join The Wisconsin American Legion Riders for their quarterly meeting, the first time being held at Department Convention. There will be a Catholic and Protestant service offered at 5 PM. Then join the Department and the Past Commanders Club for an evening of fun including entertainment, a taco bar and cocktails. The outgoing Legion Family Leadership will be passing the torch to the newly elected leadership. This is a fun Legion Family Event celebrating another successful year.

Sunday, July 23rd we will gather for a Legion Family Memorial Service followed by the Installation of Department Officers. The weekend will culminate with the Post-Convention Department Executive Committee meeting consisting of the newly elected DEC.
